Job Title: Offensive Coordinator
Site: Athletics/Charles Page High School
Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: Requires additional work days/hours (180 days/7 hours daily- general teaching contract)
Reports to: Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Director
Evaluation: Oklahoma TLE System
Salary: Sand Springs Public School Teacher's Salary Scale, plus additional coaching stipend (negotiable)
Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Contribute to the education program as a whole and the growth of students involved in athletics.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate with required endorsements and/or required training (CPR/First Aid) (must have or willing to get)
- Pass an OSBI background check
Experience:
- Football Offensive Coordinator Experience Required
- Accompany and supervise student athletes during athletic competitions in assigned sports on out-of-town trips.
- Instruct and advise students on NCAA regulations concerning academic scholarship requirements and recruiting practices.
- Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests, practice sessions, and on trips off school property per Sand Springs Public Schools Policies and Charles Page High School's Handbook.
- Encourage, by example and instruction, sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation.
- Establish professional, open communication with all stakeholders (verbally, in written form, or digitally, in accordance with SSPS guidelines and the Oklahoma State Department of Education regulations).
Supervise assigned assistant coaches and student athletic assistants.
- Aide in assisting in the selection of equipment and instructional materials.
- Compile, maintain, and file all required physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents.
- Maintain a current inventory of all fixed assets within the program.

Essential Duties Include
- Preparing offensive playbooks for the season
- Conducting daily meetings with the offensive staff (as warranted)
- Preparing the offensive practice schedule
- Analyzing game and practice film
- Developing a substitution game plan
- Preparing a daily-weekly depth chart
- Coordinating offensive adjustments during halftime and on the sideline
- Preparing offensive run game scripts
- Scouting defensive cards
- Preparing a play calling sheet
- Following OSSA guidelines
- Following District Policies
- Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students' athletic abilities initially and regularly.
- Take all necessary precautions to protect student-athletes, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Keep informed of and ensure compliance with all rules.
- Work with the athletic director to schedule competitions and coordinate arrangements.
- Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of the coaching program and make changes based on findings.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
Additionally, extreme variances in temperature and weather while working outside will be experienced in this position.
