Salary: Stipend $7,500.00 (Paid over 12 months)

The Sand Springs Band program is accepting resumes for the position of Drum Line/Percussion Instructor for the 2025-2026 school year.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of the HS drum line/percussion program including, but
not limited to, teaching fundamental skills and show & pep music, arranging extra rehearsals as
necessary, and keeping the members up-to-date on band events and schedules.
Participation in rehearsals and sectionals as well as attendance at all band events involving drum
line is a requirement (eg-football games, marching contests, parades, etc.) The normal rehearsal
schedule is mornings 7am-9am and after school rehearsals are at the discretion of the staff in
agreement with student availability. The schedule following the fall season through the remainder of
the school year is similar and the emphasis shifts to percussion ensembles and concert skills.

Occasional Requirements: Lift/move up to 70 pounds, ability to administer CPR
Visual Requirements: Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information
Individuals should be highly organized and able to maintain appropriate relationships/boundaries with
the students and be able to abide fully by the policies of Sand Springs Schools.
AFTER HOURS COMMITMENT: After hours time required will vary with the time of year.
